With LeBron James in the Los Angeles Lakers' game against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night, Anthony Davis stepped up significantly, scoring 17 points in the first half and captivating NBA fans.
In addition to his 17 points, Davis had two assists and eight rebounds, shooting 7-of-8 from the field. Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura also contributed, each adding 13 points.
With the Lakers trailing by one at halftime, 66-65, fans took to social media to praise Davis for his hot start:

Anthony Davis is pacing the Kings offensively for 15 points on 6/7 FGs, while Sabonis and Lyles are in foul trouble.
The Kings are countering by outscoring the Lakers 32-22 in the paint, and the Kings are starting to hit the offensive glass.
In the first quarter, Davis was perfect from the field, going 5-for-5, including two big baskets in the final three minutes.
After sitting for the first half of the third quarter, Davis missed both of his free throws after the re-entry, but quickly came back with a successful 17-foot jumper.
Davis and the Lakers will look to secure their 18th win of the season and second straight.
