During Saturday's Pop-Tarts Bowl between the Miami Hurricanes and Iowa State Cyclones, an altercation broke out on the Miami sideline during the first half, with two teammates throwing punches.

The altercation took place in the middle of a very marked first half, with 28 points for each team in the middle of the second quarter.

The matchup between the two defensive linemen appeared to involve Simeon Barrow Jr. senior and freshman Marquise Lightfoot, with Lightfoot responding to a push from Barrow Jr. throwing a punch. Teammates and the coaching staff quickly intervened to separate them.

The Hurricanes entered Saturday's game with a 10-2 record, ranked 15th overall and third in the ACC thanks to Heisman candidate Cam Ward.

In the first quarter of the bowl game, Ward set the Division I career passing touchdowns record with 156 on a four-yard pass to Jacoby George.

The Hurricanes hope to bounce back against the Cyclones and finish the season strong after a 42-38 loss to the Syracuse Orange in their final regular season game.
